Coach Greg Henschel leads the professional coaching team at Charlotte Rise FC, bringing over 30 years of elite-level experience as both a player and coach. He is known throughout the Carolinas for his commitment to player development, college-level insight, and family-first values.

Family Values & Personal Insight
Coach Henschel’s perspective is shaped by his own family’s commitment to sports and education. His wife, Jean Henschel, is a former collegiate volleyball standout and championship-winning high school coach. Together, they’ve raised two competitive soccer-playing daughters—one of whom recently earned a college soccer scholarship.
The Henschels know firsthand what it takes to balance competitive athletics with family life and academics. That experience shapes Coach Greg’s leadership, making him a coach who leads with both heart and results.
